The Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day on May 19 symbolizes the beginning of the Turkish War of Independence, the victory in which was dedicated by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Turkey, to the young people. At TAC, the day was celebrated with enthusiasm in Talas Auditorium.
The ceremony began with a moment of silence and the national anthem, followed by remarks by Mr. Erkan Gültekin on the significance of the day. Then, the choir and the guitar orchestra performed the “Youth Anthem” and “Hayat Bayram Olsa”, treating the audience to magical musical moments. The video prepared by student athletes of TAC emphasized the dynamism of the youth and their commitment to the Republic.
Another highlight of the ceremony was the narration of the Bandırma story by Onur G., and IB student in grade 12. This was followed by the short film titled “Amasya Circular: The Nation Has the Final Say”.
The ceremony ended with a human tower performance by students titled “Standing for Independence”.
